Trumbull Street Fire kills five firefighters.

Lts. John Geswell and John McCorkle and Firefighters Robert Clougherty, Francis Murphy, and James Sheedy, and one civilian are killed in a fire at a toy factory on Street. A funeral for the five firefighters is held at Cathedral of the Holy Cross on October 5, 1964.
